Bernard and Linda Shaw F.M.B.I.I are time honoured fellow members of the British Institute of Inn keeping. Originally from East Lancashire they had been running a pub for 8 years in Manchester before moving to Morecambe’s Chieftain.
Their dedication to the traditional pub ideal is evident; having spent 25 years developing The Chieftain into one of Morecambe’s most treasured Inn’s, they have managed to hit on the perfect formula of blending tradition with all the mod cons and a genuine, honest service, which makes this pub a town favourite.
Local and National Sporting events are screened on the massive 42” plasma screens and with a pub full of local families and supporters; it is a friendly atmosphere to be a part of.
The Chieftain has a family room area where you can relax in comfortable surroundings and enjoy a great range of ales and wines, perhaps something from the kitchen or fine blends of tea and coffee.
